This article identified the Opiod Crisis as it was in 2016. The crisis at that point was hitting a tipping point and I was motivated to write an article about some of the facts regarding the crisis. I published it on Thrive Global, which was the first article I published with them.

I wrote it in the fall of 2017, and it was published in December of the same year.
